Tom Parker, a British illustrator who lives in Taiwan, saw the illustrations on the water bill envelopes more often than most Taiwanese people do. He really enjoyed the artwork on the water bill envelopes, so he shared two of them with internet users across the world by uploading them to the X.

Parker shared two Taiwan Water Corporation water bill envelopes, one with a Taiwanese blue magpie theme and the other with a marine ecological theme with sea turtles painted on it. Parker said that he thought these illustrations were quite creative and that he really loved them.

The envelope illustration that Parker finds to be so appealing is really a new version of the envelope that Taiwan Water Corporation debuted in March of last year. It was created by a talented young illustrator (許家瑋) supported by the Labor Affairs Bureau of the Taichung City Government. She made the once commonplace water bill envelope get the attention of international illustrators by including Taiwan's natural environment and biodiversity, including Taiwan's blue magpie, marine ecosystem, mountains, and woods.
