Japanese YouTuber Suzuki Katsunori comes to study in Taiwan and shares delicious food on his YouTube channel!

Second-generation new immigrant Suzuki Katsunori from Japan came to Taiwan to study. He is a graduate of the National Taiwan Normal University. He shares his life experiences in Taiwan as a student on his YouTube channel "鈴木的日常 【台灣留學】"

Katsunori also shares a lot of Taiwanese food on his YouTuber channel, and he shared that his inspiration comes from the Japanese cuisine seinen manga series  Kodoku No Gurume. He shared delicious food and sightseeing places in Dadaocheng's Dihua Street, and the famous Ximending night market.

Katsunori visited "永樂担仔麵", a noodle place in Yongle Market, Dadaocheng. This restaurant was featured in the Kodoku No Gurume manga series a long time ago. On the menu, you can even find a meal called the 五郎套餐 "Goro Set Meal" inspired by the protagonist in the manga series. The set meal includes chicken rice, 2 kinds of vegetables, and soy-marinated eggs, and tofu.

Katsunori mentioned that in his visit, he ordered the "Goro Set Meal" and a bowl of fish ball soup. He described the food as refreshing and delicious, especially the soy-marinated side dishes. His expressions and comments received praise from his many fans.

Later on, Katsunori passed by the Bai An Tang Pharmacy 百安堂參藥行 on Dihua Street. He mentioned that he is a fan of dried fruits and couldn’t resist to try them. He purchased the dried pineapple snack and said it tasted natural, sweet and very delicious.

After visiting Dihua Street, Katsunori proceeded to Ximending. On his way he passed by the North Gate and took a moment to admire it. he ended his trip to Ximending with dessert, a mix of 湯圓 rice dumplings,  芋圓 taro balls and 地瓜圓 sweet potato balls. Katsunori mentioned that he always finds unique desserts in Taiwan and those he doesnt find it Japan.
