2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung invites immigrants to join the grand event. The main light installation “Wu Ying Wan Dian Ming (武營晚點名)” located at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts combines the element of immigrants with the 360-degree light and shadow theater building. Besides, immigrant artists from Japan and Canada were also invited to design the installations together.

This year's Taiwan Lantern Festival showcases Kaohsiung's diverse and inclusive characteristics. The performances at the Breeze Plaza of Love River also invite immigrants from 13 countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Morocco, Canada, Hawaii, Russia, and South America. Bolivia and.

Wang Wen Cui (王文翠), the Director-general of the Bureau of Cultural Affairs Kaohsiung City Government, stated that the performance “light & shadow Taiwanese opera” also invites Remy Gils to join the legendary festival.
