The riverside flower sea is blooming in waves. The "English Garden" style flower sea at Yanping Riverside continues to flourish near Dadaocheng Wharf. The Taipei Water Resources Department has chosen seasonal flowers to create a romantic atmosphere under the winding trees, complemented by special light decorations that enhance the festive spirit. The flower viewing period starts now and runs through Christmas this year.
The Water Resources Department has selected nearly 10,000 spider flowers as the main feature of the flower sea design. Continuing the wildflower garden theme, the spider flowers are paired with pink, white, and purple angelonia, along with pink snapdragons. By using plants of similar colors but varying heights, the design creates a vivid and layered flower sea. Blue and purple salvia and Mexican sage are added as accents, highlighting the soft beauty of the riverside scenery.

According to the River Management Section of the Water Resources Department, this year's flower sea extends to the riverside, where colorful cosmos flowers have been scattered. Walking along the dazzling "fireworks trail," surrounded by vibrant flower patches on both sides, visitors are treated to a stunning visual feast that lifts their spirits. At night, lights extend across the grassy areas. The dandelion-themed light installation illuminates the garden, with reed lights along the flower-viewing trail creating the effect of dandelion fluff drifting in the wind. Blue and purple grass net lights on the green lawn complement Christmas gift boxes under the dandelion lights, filling the Tamsui Riverbank with the warmth of Christmas.
Notably, during sunset, the golden rays reflecting off the Tamsui River create an unparalleled waterfront view in Taipei. Visitors are encouraged to plan a half-day riverside trip, starting from Dadaocheng Wharf and entering Yanping Riverside Park. First, enjoy international cuisine at the Dadaocheng Container Market, then ride a bike or stroll to Water Gate No. 5 to admire the vibrant flower sea.
