According to The Straits Times, the new Project Green campaign in Raffles City seeks to show how simple it is to incorporate sustainability into daily living.
Raffles City Singapore is transforming its retail experience for the better through the campaign, a collection of sustainability initiatives involving stakeholders in retail, hospitality, and corporate sectors.
According to Steve Ng, general manager of Raffles City Singapore, “By giving our retailers, office tenants, and hotels a suitable platform, we aspire to make a profound influence on instilling sustainable living in shoppers’ daily lives.”
In addition, a series of activities are held in the shopping mall, enabling participants to find their inner eco-warrior while joining workshops. Within the building, Raffles City has used upcycled festival decorations to make displays such as a tree that can be powered up manually.
Within the main showcase, there are four zones showing tenants from the beauty, F&B, and fashion industries. Each brand holds upcycling classes and promotes its eco-friendly products.

Lastly, the initiative “Bagless Friday” was also introduced to encourage mall-goers to bring their own reusable shopping bags. Besides, bonuses were provided to customers who use their reusables too.
