TRTC President Huang Ching-shinn said during the announcement press conference on January 26 that, after seeing the success of Japan Railways Group's efforts to update their train fleet, TRTC collaborated with Innolux to overhaul a Type 341 train into a "Smart Display Metro Train" to implement Taipei's smart city concept.

With 5G and digital integration, the train transforms the concept of advertising, providing a dynamic and creative interactive environment via the cloud and adding value to traditional marketing by interacting with personal mobile terminals. This also opens the possibility of personalized adverts for clients, allowing the organization to experiment with new marketing strategies.

The 48-inch LCD displays above the train doors are entirely new and creative, providing beautiful and descriptive images with information such as the next station, expected arrival time, route map, transit facts, and statistics on station exits.

The 4K curved digital advertisement monitors above the passenger seats, with their extreme brightness and wide-angle LCDs, are unmistakable. While watching commercials, viewers can enjoy the immersive surround experience.
