Taipei City and New Taipei City Long-term Care Facilities will be open for visits from August 31. Visitors must "present a negative COVID-19 test certificate"

Taiwan's COVID-19 epidemic has slowed down, and the epidemic situation in Taipei and New Taipei City have been brought under control. The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, 中央流行疫情指揮中心) commander Chen Shi-Chung (陳時中) announced that the Taipei City and New Taipei City area has been reduced from medium-high risk level to medium-risk level. Residential long-term care institutions will be open for visits starting from August 31. Visitors must present a negative result certificate for antigen, PCR, or home rapid test taken within 3 days before the visit, with no more than three people per visit, and should wear masks throughout the whole visit.

Chen Shi-Chung, the commander of the CECC, said that from August 31, visits to residential long-term care facilities in Taipei City and New Taipei City will be allowed. Visitors must present a certificate of negative antigen or PCR test (including home rapid tests) taken within 3 days before the visit. The rules for visits include the appointment system for visit schedules, contact tracing system, TOCC inquiries, no more than three visitors per long-term care resident, and visitors should wear masks throughout the whole visit.

In addition, the public is reminded to abide by the rules for visitation. Like other counties and cities, visitors must implement an appointment system, a contact tracing system, TOCC system (travel history, type of occupation, occupation history, whether they are in groups), and the number of visitors per resident per visit should not be more than three, and masks should be worn during the whole time of the visit.
