The National Open University offers new immigrants a platform for multi-learning on-the-job training. The "New Immigrant Admissions Briefing Session" was recently organized in cooperation with the NIA Yilan County Service Center of the Northern District Affairs Brigade and the Association (新住民服務據點宜萱婦幼關懷協會), drawing new immigrants from Vietnam, Indonesia, South Africa, and other nations to attend.

The executive director (王平湘) of the Yilan Learning Guidance Center of the National Open University (國立空中大學宜蘭學習指導中心), hosted the briefing. Numerous qualities of the National Open University enable it to offer possibilities for new immigrants to receive on-the-job training. According to their choices, new immigrants can pick the department they wish to study in. On-site registration will be accessible from July 8 to July 9, and online registration will be open until June 30, 2023. The various learning platforms should be utilized to their full potential by new immigrants.

The director (簡玉屏) of NIA Yilan County Service Center, said that she is very happy to have the opportunity to cooperate with the Yilan Learning Guidance Center of the National Open University to provide more diverse learning channels and new knowledge for new immigrants to create a wonderful life.

In addition, with the Dragon Boat Festival quickly coming, the general public is advised not to enter the nation with meals containing pig or other animal quarantine goods, much less send such items to Taiwan by courier or postal package. Illegal imports of pig products will be fined to a $1 million NTD.
