According to the Taipei City Government, the Year of the Tiger Limited Edition EasyCard will be released by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Starting on January 3, these special cards will be available for preorder at the Metro Taipei Online Shop, and on January 15, they will be available for purchase at booths at two MRT stations.
The Tiger Year is here now. The concepts of "eternity" and "Tiger high above" are highlighted in this EasyCard set. A silver tiger and a gold tiger sit on top of the mountain in the two cards, with the sun beaming through the cloud and bathing the area in golden rays.

Each bundle costs NT$360 and includes complementary red envelopes and spring couplets. Hopefully, the pair of tigers and the red-decorated-with-gold color scheme will help clients celebrate Chinese New Year in style.
Customers who want to avoid lines can place preorders at the Metro Taipei Online Shop between 10 a.m. on January 3 and 9 a.m. on January 9. There are only 200 sets of these limited-edition cards available online, so act quickly to secure your own!

Those who prefer to purchase the commemorative EasyCard set in person can do so starting at 10 a.m. on January 15 at the Taipei Metro product kiosks at MRT Zhongshan Station and MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station. At these booths, a total of 600 sets will be available for purchase, with each client restricted to two sets.
TRTC has been issuing commemorative Chinese Zodiac animal metro ticket/EasyCard sets since 1997. Despite a several-year gap between the Year of the Dog card's release in 2006 and the Year of the Dragon card's release in 2013, these sets gained widespread public appreciation and remain popular goods.
