Recently, Doris Marie Brougham (彭蒙惠), an American missionary who has lived in Taiwan for more than 70 years and is the founder of "Studio Classroom," received her official Taiwanese citizenship. She was also given a Taiwanese passport by President Tsai Ing-wen in person. The President congratulated Doris Marie Brougham on becoming a legal Taiwanese and praised her for her support of Taiwan.

Doris Marie Brougham (彭蒙惠), who is turning 96 years old this year, has spent the past 70 years working to promote English education in Taiwan. She became a Taiwanese with great distinction with the approval of the Ministry of the Interior. President Tsai Ing-wen handed Doris Marie Brougham a passport before the Dragon Boat Festival. The household registration and ID card were delivered by Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an and the director(林清淇) of Household Registration of the Ministry of the Interior, who also congratulated Doris Marie Brougham on being the 21st citizen of Taipei to receive the honor of naturalization.

In 1951, Doris Marie Brougham first proclaimed the gospel in Hualien County after arriving in Taiwan. The "Studio Classroom" English teaching radio program was established in 1962, and for many years, the magazines "Let's Talk in English", "Studio Classroom", and "Advanced" were published. Additionally, multimedia teaching materials were created to further promote English education.
Doris Marie Brougham emphasized that she has lived in Taiwan for so long, she considers herself to be a native of that country. She said that home is where the heart resides, and her home is Taiwan. Doris Marie Brougham said she has no plans to retire in the future and will instead carry on.
