When going overseas, many people undoubtedly take photos or videos with their cellphones as they grow more and more handy. Recently, though, several travelers unwittingly violated the law when they were too eager and used their mobile devices to take pictures during the immigration screening check at Japanese airports. resulting in a prohibition on leaving the nation.

The regulations of Narita International Airport Official Website state that when taking pictures at the airport, you must abide by the rules and not hamper with other passengers' rights, including portrait rights, copyrights, and other third-party rights. Additionally, you are not permitted to take pictures in certain areas, including immigration inspection at security checkpoints, customs, and quarantine stations. In addition to being prohibited from shooting, violating the law may also result in a travel restriction.

The staff is concerned about the exposure of information and security measures since airport customs is tied to national security. They are also concerned that travelers would use mobile phones in terrorist activities, such as setting off bombs and getting in touch with criminals. Due to security and privacy concerns, passengers are severely prohibited from using mobile phones in some locations after leaving the nation, such as at immigration checkpoints, customs and quarantine offices, and luggage carousels. In order to avoid violating the law, people are advised to refrain from using their mobile phones to capture photos and videos while going through security and customs screening processes in any nation.
