Two police officers, Liao & Xu, from the Juang-Jing (莊敬) Police Station of the First Branch of Tainan City Police Department recently served patrolled around the “SHOWBA (小北百貨)” at Dong'an Road, Tainan. Seeing a foreign student wander nearby and talk to several people, the police officers approached him and asked if he needed any help. After communicating in English, they realized that the student is from the Kingdom of Eswatini who is trying to seek help as his mobile phone ran out of power.

The police then brought the student to the police station. As the contact numbers of the student’s friends are all saved on the phone, he was asked to search for his friends’ Facebook accounts online. The police assisted the student in contacting the friend via Facebook in English and successfully managed to help the student return home in the end.

The foreign student praised the Tainan police for their spirit of serving the people. He said that the quality of the services provided by Taiwanese police is world-class.

He repeatedly expressed his gratitude to the two policemen who provided a helping hand to him when his friend was there to pick him up.
