A Highlighted Route: Aromatic Rice Walk and Scented Healing
Economic Development Bureau Director Lin Rong-Chuan shared the "Aromatic Rice Walk" itinerary as an example. Starting from the Xinying Railway Culture Park, visitors can board the Shengli Mini Train, cross the Jishui River Bridge, and enjoy serene countryside views while revisiting the history of Taiwan's sugar industry. The route continues through Swan Lake Park to the Kardor Sustainable Story House, where guests can observe transparent production processes and participate in hands-on DIY workshops.
The tour then leads to Houbi Ordinary Woman Village, where visitors immerse themselves in iconic television drama settings, experience rice milling, and feel the accomplishment of producing their own rice. The final stop at the Arwin Lakeside Forest of Healing, which recently passed tourism factory accreditation, features over a hundred blooming rose species.
