The Michelin Guide, which rates different fine dining establishments worldwide, has arrived in Taiwan. The full list will be released on August 31 in the "2023 Michelin Guide Taiwan" for Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung. Additionally, the well-known Bib Gourmand top picks list will also be made public on August 23, one week before to the press conference.

Around the world, "The Michelin Guide" consistently gives the same restaurant ratings. The Michelin review will select all types of cuisines anonymously, focusing on the quality of the chosen food, the cooking technique, the fusion of flavors, and the personality displayed in the cuisine. The rest, such as location, decoration, and service facilities, etc., are not included in the selection criteria, but if there are other selling points deserving of attention, they will be marked specifically.
In an effort to continue promoting Taiwan's high-quality cuisine and draw more tourists from abroad, the Tourism Bureau, MOTC, welcomed Michelin to Taiwan for an evaluation six years ago.
