Taoyuan Citizen Card enters its 6th anniversary with a series of celebrations, eligible to foreigners too!

Entering its 6^th anniversary, the Taoyuan Citizen Card has been issued since 2015. Mayor of Taoyuan City, Cheng Wen-tsan (鄭文燦), announced that the target audience of the Taoyuan Citizen Card will also include foreigners who are eligible for Elderly Card – a function card included in the Taoyuan Citizen Card.

Local department store operators in Taoyuan launched a series of activities to celebrate the anniversary of the Taoyuan Citizen Card. The detailed information is as follows.

1. Exclusive offers

From today to December 15, enjoy exclusive offers for anniversary celebrations at the designated department stores

2. Lucky draw

Taoyuan Citizen Card holders can participate in Gogoro lucky draw as long as one spends more than NT$100 and register with the invoice number before December 31.

3. Prizes of scratch-off tickets

Download the Taoyuan Citizen Card Application to participate in the scratch-off tickets before December 31.

“Starting from today, foreigners above 65 years old, holding the Permanent residence, and whose place of residence is in Taoyuan are eligible for the Taoyuan Citizen Card,” Cheng says. “The card also gives ride discount for the elders.”

In addition, Taoyuan Citizen Card can be used to borrow books, travel, store bonus points, enjoy discounts at sports centers & municipal venues, etc.

The "Taoyuan Shopping Festival" will go live on November 5. People can participate in the lucky draw by registering online with receipts for spending more than NT$500 at stores in Taoyuan City.

Electric scooters and cars are given away every day. There are also many other awards such as 65-inch TV and a house worth ten million at Qingpu. The details of the event are based on the official announcements of each event on the "Citizen Card Theme Website", and the public can download the citizen card APP to get the latest event information.
