The CECC announced on June 21 that epidemic control measures for migrant workers will be improved, including 4 new mandatory regulations consisting of compulsory compartmentalization and diversion for both working and living spaces. Migrant workers under different employers are prohibited from residing together. For violators, fines will reach up to NT$ 300,000 each for employers and intermediaries. Employment permits can also be revoked if necessary.

In response to the cluster infections that occurred in Miaoli County's Electronics Factories and migrant worker dormitories, the head of the MOL, Hsu Ming-chun (許銘春) stated that guidelines will be revised. Regulations will require employers to better manage working areas, production lines, and residential spaces of migrant workers. Schedules will include time rotations to avoid having too many people in one place at once. Employers can also entrust responsibilities unto intermediaries in arranging dormitories for migrant workers. It is also required by the MOL that workers under different employers do not live together.

The MOL also requires employers to conduct daily health checks, track activities of migrant workers, and prepare quarantine spaces in case of any diagnosed infections (positive PCR tests). Fined from NT$ 60,000 to NT$ 300,000 will be issued to employers and intermediaries in case of any violations. Employment permits can be revoked if necessary.
