The Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government hosted "2023 Eid al-Fitr in Taipei” in Daan Forest Park on the 23rd, and it was a success. The celebration of Eid al-Fitr this year was magnificent as the epidemic finally ended. Along with the mayor of Taipei, representatives from Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Malaysia, Nigeria, and other nations in Taiwan were there to took part in the occasion. National Immigration Agency also provided green lucky bags, which are symbolic of blessings, to the new immigrants who attended the ceremony, and promoted the "Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program" in general.

This year's Eid al-Fitr Festival in Taipei included amazing stage performances as well as a picnic area that allows participants to enjoy a meal outside on the Daan Forest Park grass. The Eid al-Fitr Festival also hosted a Muslim travel expo to enlighten Muslim friends about Muslim-friendly lodging and dining options in Taipei.

This year's Eid al-Fitr in Taipei is larger than in years past due to the epidemic. On that day, more than 20,000 people are anticipated to come, according to the organizer. The vendors there also sell foreign foods like Indian curry pancakes, Turkish specialties, Muslim-style meat biscuits, and natural dried fruits from the Middle East, in addition to different exotic goods from Indonesia, Turkey, Arabia, etc. so that the general public may sample a range of delectable international foods, and so forth.

Enjoy having a picnic while sitting on the lawn. National Immigration Agency also promoted the "Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Department Program" while distributing green lucky bags on the event.

In order to provide Taiwanese people a chance to learn about Muslim culture, the Eid al-Fitr in Taipei has also organized a cultural experience area with DIY classes on Middle Eastern sweets, Turkish Mosaic Lamps, etc. A senior multilingual theatre storyteller, instructor Katie Partlow, a new immigrant from the United States, was invited by the event's organizer to share great Arabic folk tales with participants. Many kids listened to the stories to learn about Muslim culture thanks to Teacher Partlow's engaging presentation.
