The "Taiwan Acts! Architecture in Social Dialogue", (「台灣行動！與社會對話的建築」) special exhibit starts today until October 3 at the Munich Architecture Museum, Germany (德國慕尼黑建築博物館). This exhibition is the largest with the richest content of Taiwan’s modern architecture and culture.

Minister of Culture (文化部長) Li Yung-te (李永得) expressed his gratitude to Taiwanese architect Chiu Chen-yu (裘振宇), associate professor of the Department of Architecture of Shih Chien University (實踐大學建築系副教授) Wang Chun-hsiung (王俊雄), and Andres Lepik, the curator of the Munich Architecture Museum, and other curators. Also, sincere thanks to curator Lepik for actively promoting the exhibition and providing a lot of assistance. It is hoped that after the epidemic is over, curator Lepik, together with other architects, can visit Taiwan again in the future to see more of Taiwan’s advanced architecture and deepen bilateral cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Germany.
In addition to getting to know Chiu Chen-yu's refugee center project in Turkey, he was also impressed by the community architecture projects in Taiwan. He visited Taiwan two years ago and personally got to know Taiwanese architecture. After interacting with Taiwanese architects, he further understood the interaction between architecture, community and society, which made him determined to exhibit Taiwanese architecture at the Munich Architecture Museum. He hopes that this exhibition will not only be for Germany’s professional architects, but also for the general public to understand Taiwanese architecture and the value behind it.

The exhibition has five main themes, “Living in Yilan, creating Yilan”, “Building Communities”, Building Autonomy in Architecture”, “Building for the Citizens of the World”, and “Rebuilding Hsinchu”. The more than 100 architectural projects show the interaction of Taiwanese architects with the land and the society which reflects Taiwan’s humanitarian values. Friends in Germany are welcome to take this opportunity to watch the largest Taiwanese architecture-themed exhibition in history at the Munich Architecture Museum. Friends in Taiwan can also participate in the grand event through the Internet and watch the various videos and exhibitions carefully prepared by the curatorial team. The "Taiwan Action!
