Taiwan tech entrepreneurs joined hands with businesses in the EU, the U.S., and Japan on June 22 to hold this year's Virtual Forum on Tech Supply Chain Partnership, aiming to boost supply chain resilience for the semiconductor and other industries.

European Economic and Trade Office in Taiwan (EETO), American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association (JTEA), and Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) co-organized the event, agreeing that Taiwan plays a dominant role in bolstering supply chain security.

Building a strong global supply chain has become the top priority of many like-minded countries. More than 700 people signed up for the event, including representatives for government, academic and industrial.

Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Mei-hua (王美花) said that Taiwan is able to protect trade secrets and has many flexible small and medium sized enterprises that can respond quickly to the changing markets. In addition, Taiwan's high-tech industry has been highly competitive in the global market and companies have extended their global reach.
