To welcome 2022, the【Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network】, which is under the Ministry of the Interior National Immigration Agency (NIA), specially organized the 2022 heartwarming “New” Year Party in Taipei City to support new immigrants. Activities include “nail beauty”, “eyelash extension”, “interactive parent-child activities”, “magic show”, “exotic afternoon tea”, and “introduction of the Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network”.

The event has received an enthusiastic response, attracting about 40 new immigrants from China, Vietnam, Japan, Myanmar, etc. with their families and children.

Risa Sawada Kumagai (熊谷梨沙) from Japan brought three little babies aged 2, 4 and 5 respectively to participate. She came to Taiwan and started a business here 8.5 years ago. Full of love for Taiwan, the Japanese couple is planning to apply for the National Identification Card of Taiwan together with their children.

Đào Thị Nhi Dung (陶氏ㄦ容) from Vietnam and Lai Shi Li (賴詩麗) & Chen An Na (陳安娜) from Indonesia are the loyal fans of the【Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network】and the Facebook fans page “Taiwan我來了”. Đào Thị Nhi Dung mentioned that as they are unable to read Chinese very well, they appreciate the efforts made by NIA to provide news in their hometown languages. With news articles in Vietnamese and Indonesian, they can therefore be updated with the latest news in Taiwan. The Indonesian participants like the “New Immigrants in Taiwan” column a lot, and even asked the editor of【Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network】for inquiries about submitting their stories.
