Staff from the service center visited the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan Labor Concern Center in Nanzi District and the Kaohsiung International New Residents Association (高雄市國際新住民協會) to introduce the "Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program" and hopes to pass three major measures: exemption from entry ban, no detention, and minimum fines, so that foreigners who have overstayed can self-report to the case as soon as possible.

The majority of the Kaohsiung International New Residents Association’s (高雄市國際新住民協會) members are likewise new immigrants, according to the chairman of the association, who is a new immigrant, too. This includes family members who come to Taiwan to see loved ones. They will persuade friends to self-report and return home during the program's execution if they are overstayed.
