On September 20, special certificates of gratitude were distributed by the National Immigration Agency Taitung County Service Center and the Specialized Operation Brigade as a way of thanking the volunteers and interpreters for their diligent work every day. They also planned events (多元文化異國美食饗宴活動) with NGOs so that everyone may sample global dishes and share unique cuisine. Additionally, NIA Taitung County Service Center invited the Taitung Branch of the National Taxation Bureau to publicize tax legislation.

Ms. Lin Liyu (林麗玉), a volunteer at the service station for more than ten years, received a certificate of gratitude from the CEO (洪宗楷) of Eastern Taiwan Joint Services Center, Executive Yuan during the event.
The NIA organized an unusual culinary banquet and shared homeland treats for this occasion, inviting several units within its purview and new immigrants. On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the new immigrants socialized with one another, sampled different cuisine, and ate traditional meals from their hometowns.

The director (林明) of the NIA Taitung County Service Center also urged new immigrants not to send (express) pork goods or processed meals with meat to Taiwan. Do not carry or smuggle pork products into Taiwan if you intend to go on travel abroad or return home.
