- Kaohsiung City Government launches Master's credit Program: Technology entrepreneurship and Business Management and Innovation
In order to help local industries with their international expansion in Southeast Asia, the Economic Development Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology together launched the first Master's credit Program- Technology entrepreneurship and Business Management and Innovation. - Henley Passport Index ranks Taiwanese passport 30th most powerful in 2021

- Hu Shu Fen: a social worker helping new immigrants with love and care
Hu Shu Fen is a social worker supervisor at the Jiayi City New Immigrant Family Service Center. She has been assisting new immigrant women for over 15 years. Hu received the “Excellent social worker supervisor award” at the 2021 National Social Workers Recognition Ceremony. - Interview on One Forty CEO Kevin: leading an organization that helps Southeast Asian migrant workers in Taiwan
One Forty is a non-profit organization formed in 2015 that assists Southeast Asian migrant workers in Taiwan. The migrant workers are from Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Thousands of migrant workers have graduated from the “Southeast Asia Migrant School” (東南亞移工學校) with the help from One Forty. Southeast Asia Migrant School includes Mandarin language learning courses to help new immigrants develop Chinese language skills. It also includes financial management courses and computer operation courses.
