Lienchiang Citizen Card Will be Officially Launched on January 1 next year, and this card will be sent to citizens from December 30 of 2019 (or citizens can go to the township office to get this card based on the operation situation of each office). Those who apply for a Lienchiang Citizen Card will enjoy county residents' benefits, including new residents and students whose household registration is not in Lianjiang County but studying in Lianjiang County. Also, they won't be charged to take buses, and they can buy tickets back and forth from Nangan and Beigan, borrow books from county libraries, and pay by Easy Card. The General Affairs Department of the County Government states all old citizen cards will be invalid since March 31 next year. (no need to be reclaimed). People who have a balance left in their old cards, it is recommended to use it up within this period. They can also transfer the balance of the old cards to the new cards from January 7 in 2020 at the county's Household Registration Office.
