Taipei’s Double-Decker Restaurant Bus offering five-star dishes is about to hit the road

Reservations for Taiwan’s first-ever “Double-Decker Restaurant Bus” are now open to the public, and “traveling with gourmet food on the bus” has now become a hot topic online. Liu Yi-ting (劉奕霆), the commissioner of Taipei's Department of Information and Tourism served as a tour guide and introduced the five-star exclusive dishes and the special attractions of Taipei City. He also invites the public to take the opportunity to make reservations and experience the exclusive dining travel on a bus in Taiwan.

The sightseeing bus industry players built the country’s first double-decker dining sightseeing bus with the meals prepared by the Regent Taipei (台北晶華酒店).

The route travels around the Xinyi Shopping District and the East District of Taipei. The boarding time and fees are NT$1,000 per person for the afternoon tea, and NT$1,800 per person for the dinner. People are welcome to enjoy the city view while tasting the food from a five-star hotel.

Taipei Deputy Mayor Tsai Ping-kun (蔡炳坤) said that as the bus is about to hit the road, the Taipei City Tourism Committee had a meeting on the bus a few days ago to experience the smooth driving of the dining bus and provide opinions on tourism.

The early bird prices include "10% off for 2 people" and "50% off for 1 person with 4 people purchasing tickets together". In addition, the Department of Information and Tourism also offers a gift - limited commemorative porcelain bowl set to the first 1,000 passengers who board the bus.
