The Smile Memory Bus, symbolized by a cheerful van, is part of a touring activity launched by the Taipei City Department of Health, visiting 12 administrative districts of Taipei. The goal is to raise awareness about dementia and promote a more friendly attitude towards people with dementia through engaging interactions and immersive experiences, encouraging participation in dementia-friendly communities.

Highlights of the event include the "Brain Health Experience," where participants will wear the ExBrain sensor to assess their brain age. This device measures brain activity through games, focusing on six cognitive abilities: attention, memory, processing speed, control, concentration, and prediction. Each participant will wear a headband equipped with sensors, and the ExBrain app will record personal training scores and brain activity levels. Please note that this is a brain health game experience and not a formal medical test.

Another feature is the "Immersive Dementia Awareness Exhibit," showcasing themes like "The World Through the Eyes of a Person with Dementia" and "Is Dementia What You Think It Is?" Using voice guides and custom acrylic props, the exhibition simulates daily experiences of those with dementia. The exhibition provides detailed educational information on "Understanding Dementia" and "Preventing Dementia," offering the public a deeper insight into the impact of dementia.

Additionally, the event includes an "Art Co-creation Zone: Friendly Taipei, Love Together," where citizens are invited to participate in collaborative artwork using sticky notes, responding to the call for dementia-friendly communities and becoming part of this family. All activities require prior registration, and the experience lasts about 10 minutes, so please book in advance to avoid long waits. From July 27 to September 22, the Smile Memory Bus will tour Taipei City to promote correct understanding of dementia.
