New Vietnamese immigrants become "Postpartum Confinement Mothers" serving their fellow hometown sisters

Professional postpartum confinement center caregivers and postpartum confinement mothers have become popular career choices in recent years. The Changhua County government (彰化縣政府) has recently launched a "postpartum confinement training class" (月嫂培訓班) for creative nutritious cuisine and confinement services in accordance with the needs of the job market. There are also pre-employment vocational training courses for many unemployed workers and is now in the process of accepting applications, and unemployed people who are qualified can be exempted from training fees. The government subsidizes the full cost. The normal unemployed worker needs to pay 20%, and young people who participate in the training can apply for pre-employment training incentives.

Among the trainees of the postpartum confinement training course, a new Vietnamese immigrant said that she lived in Taiwan after marriage and learned that Taiwan is very professional in postpartum confinement services, and specializes in postpartum maternal care and newborn care, so she signed up for confinement service courses. After the training, she can help her fellow new immigrant sisters, so they can feel the warm service of postpartum confinement from the same hometown. In addition to professional care, they can also taste the new improved Vietnamese taste after childbirth.

In addition, to take care of the disadvantaged, the Changhua County Government also assists people of certain status in applying for vocational training and living allowance, and assists young trainees aged 15-29 to apply for the "Youth Pre-employment Training and Learning Incentive" (青年職前訓練學習獎勵金). It is recommended that unemployed workers should first participate in the county government’s pre-employment training courses to gather some skills, and then go out after the epidemic has stabilized. Not only can the trainee refine and reserve the vocational skills needed in the future but will also be assisted by the county government in finding employment, to shorten the job search period, and smoothly enter the workplace.

Changhua Department of Labor Affairs continues to accept applications for "various types of classes"

1. Agricultural training classes: practical class on creative promotion of local agricultural products.
2. Commercial training classes: community management and popular internet sensation development class, creative crafts and cultural products production class, CIS corporate identification and advertising design class, workplace office software application class.
3. Industrial training courses: artificial intelligence application training courses, computer assembly repair and system maintenance training courses, industrial product design computer drawing courses, motorcycles, electric vehicles and jet engine maintenance training courses, CNC computer numerical control operations and industrial drawing class.
4. Food and Beverage training class: Chinese food and local snack foods cooking classes.
5. Service training class: Hairdressing, beauty and make-up technical training class.

Changhua County 2021 Vocational Training for the Unemployed-

If the trainees meet the qualifications and the required certification documents are provided, they can be exempted from the training fee and the government will subsidize the full cost. The general unemployed will only need to pay 20%, and the government will subsidize 80% of training costs.
