The four major target markets for the Tourism Administration after the pandemic has subsided are, according to the Minister (王國材) of MOTC, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao, new southbound countries, and European and American nations. He expects that these four target markets may quickly reach their pre-epidemic levels.

Currently, all countries except Japan have recovered by more than 50%. Flights have also been restored to 80% at Songshan Airport and to 70% at Taoyuan Airport. Through global marketing, the MOTC intend to draw more visitors to Taiwan.
