Peter Morehead (孟磊), a new American immigrant, and his wife (江慧儀) moved to Taitung in 2000 after spending 30 years in Taiwan, according to the NIA Taitung County Service Center. The two established a sustainable agricultural forest in Dulan, Taitung, by bringing the idea of a sustainable existence to the region.  Dulan, Taitung was created by the two to identify numerous replicable ecological systems in nature, attracting visitors from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia to Taitung to learn about sustainable living, which would also help the Taitung region's tourism industry one of the most recent developments in ecological education. National Immigration Agency intends to collaborate with Peter Morehead's Permaculture sustainable living design and work for Taitung since the seeds of this ecological promotion are primarily imported from overseas or promoted by new immigrants in the jurisdiction.
