In Taichung City, there are more than 60,000 new immigrants. Since the 1990s, Taiwan has welcomed numerous new immigrants from other nations, bringing with them their own languages, cultures, and cuisines, increasing the diversity of Taiwan's culture. The event's organizer thinks that the new immigrants' dance competition and Songkran festival activity would allow new immigrants from other nations to exhibit their unique cultural traits, foster interactions between diverse ethnic groups, and advance multiculturalism.
