Three travel tours for the 2022 Taipei Lantern Festival

According to the Taipei City Government, the 2022, the Taipei Lantern Festival has been ongoing for these few days. The event features two main stages – the "Tiger Stage" near MRT Jiantan Station and the "River Stage" at the riverside display zone near MRT Zhishan Station – in addition to the three main areas of "MRT Jiantan Station Night Market Lantern Area," "MRT Shilin Station Color Lantern Area," and "MRT Zhishan Station Riverside Lantern Area."

Many visitors are curious about the best ways to experience the Taipei Lantern Festival this year. The Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) recommends different paths for people to take once they arrive at the respective MRT stations in response to demand:

Route 1: For Families with Children

The Taipei Science and Art Park, which includes the Taipei Astronomical Museum, National Taiwan Science Education Center, Taipei Children's Amusement Park, and Meilun Park, is the focus of this tour.

Route 2: A Friendship and a Good Time Expedition

Outside the MRT station, visitors will observe a Year of the Tiger themed lamp. Stop by the main stage at Danan Road close to Shilin Night Market to see the Main Lantern Show featuring the takeoff and landing of the TAIPEI 40 Spaceship for more visual pleasures.

Route 3: A New Year's Greetings Tour for the Whole Family

Those who take this route will see several the neighborhood's temples and historical buildings, as well as the main themed lanterns and a large rack of traditional paper lanterns with written words representing the district's sights and qualities.

How to Get There: TPEDOIT recommends that guests utilize the MRT because the event venues are close to MRT Jiantan, Shilin, and Zhishan stations on the Tamsui Xinyi Line. If you're looking for the main lantern show or the main stages, type "Shilin Street Fude Temple" (士林街福德宮) into Google Maps.
