In 2023, the Kinmen Cross-Strait Art and Culture Exchange Association, supported by the New Resident Development Fund, launched the "Elegance in Motion: Passing Down the Arts ~ Dancing a New Chapter in Life" art promotion program. Led by Association Chairman Ma Xuefeng and Instructor Dong Yuxin, with assistance from two teaching assistants, the program enrolled 35 new resident participants, creating a platform for learning and cultural exchange.
The Association has long been dedicated to fostering interaction and learning in music, dance, calligraphy, painting, and folk culture. Through community art activities, it aims to enhance cultural literacy and enrich the cultural atmosphere. This dance program not only improves physical coordination but also allows participants to experience the artistic charm of emotional and storytelling expression. This program not only enhances physical coordination but also allows participants to experience the artistic charm of emotional and storytelling expression (Image / Courtesy of Taiwan News Cloud website).
Ma Xuefeng stated that this is not just about learning dance but also about cultural exchange. The goal is to deepen new residents' understanding of Kinmen's culture through dance while building their confidence. The Association hopes to help new residents overcome language and cultural challenges, promote community integration, and incorporate local traditional arts, achieving cultural fusion.
Future activities will include multiple performances, allowing participants to showcase their achievements, strengthen their sense of social engagement, and share the charm of dance with a wider audience. The Association calls on the public to support and promote Kinmen's cultural arts, enabling every participant to "dance" their way to a brilliant life.Multiple performances will be arranged subsequently, allowing participants to showcase their learning achievements and enhance their sense of social engagement (Image / Courtesy of Taiwan News Cloud website).
