President Tsai supports Taiwan's traditional arts and cultural industry by attending the GACC festival

According to the Ministry of Culture, President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) of the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC) spoke at this year's arts and cultural gathering "kah l tàu-tn (佮你鬥陣)" and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to gather with people from different cultural circles, hoping that everyone can work on pandemic prevention in the coming year.

The event began with a spirited Beiguan performance at the Taipei Ling-An Association (台北靈安社). Following President Tsai's speech, the National Center for Traditional Arts (NCFTA) and Lei Sheng Art Group (雷昇傳藝劇團) alternated performances of the dance dramas "Wufu Ying Taiping (五福迎太平)," which combined traditional performing arts and temple fair rituals, and "kah l tàu-tn," which combined traditional drumming and acrobatics.

Folk beliefs, according to President Tsai, are a vital spiritual pillar for Taiwanese people, a force that offers stability to Taiwanese society, and a valuable cultural treasure.

The Ministry of Culture, according to President Tsai, has maintained to advocate for and promote traditional folk culture. In connection with the annual Monga Qingshan Temple procession, GACC has also arranged "Roar Now Bangkah (萬華大鬧熱)." Design and art are infused into folk religion through the market environment, allowing traditions to stay up with the times and attract participants.
