By the end of January 2022, there will have been over 570,000 new immigrants, and up to 10% of all students in Taiwan will be the offspring of new immigrants, according to figures from National Immigration Agency of the Ministry of the Interior. The K-12 Education Administration (K12EA) of the Ministry of Education promoted the "Long-distance Live Teaching Training Program for New Immigrants' Language Courses" (新住民語文課程遠距直播教學計畫) to hire online teachers through the mode of remote live broadcast and co-learning, effectively resolving the shortage of new immigrants' language teachers in schools.

This year, Taiwan will host several courses for the distance teaching teacher training program for new immigrants. The Taipei course will currently begin in May, and the registration deadline is now until April 28. The courses cover using online resources, creating instructional presentations, using distance learning software, etc. You can continue to take the " Chinese Long Distance Teaching Teacher Examination for New Immigrant " (新住民語文遠距教學師資甄試) after finishing the course in order to become a long-distance online live broadcast instructor.
