Department of Fashion and Innovation Management of Ming Chuan University collaborated with a Zero Waste Fashion Brand – Story Wear and launched a Re/Project Denim Square Bag. The product combines aesthetics and environmental protection concepts, as well as special designs.

According to the “Ming Chuan Weekly”, the Re/Project Denim Square Bag is created by three foreign students, including KanlayaneeJangmanee from Thailand, Enkh-Amgalan Amarjargal from Mongolia, Jiang Ming Jun (江明君) from Vietnam in 2020 with Ms. Zhou Xiao Jun as the instructor.

With the concept of zero waste, the recycled denim jeans, and cotton were used to make the square bag. Besides, local tailors and non-profit organizations also participated in the handmade bag project.

It is a stylish bag with adjustable straps and an easy-to-close magnetic buckle, which meets the daily needs of consumers. Furthermore, the bag can be carried as a crossbody bag, a shoulder bag, or a clutch.

Zhang Rong Nong (張榮農), the director of the fashion management program, stated that this year is the 52nd Earth Day and the theme is Invest in Our Planet which encourages individuals to choose brands that are environmentally friendly. The Re/Project Denim Square Bag designed by students is thus launched.
