National Immigration Agency (NIA), Hsinchu County Service Center visited Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) and explained residency rules, prevention measures against African swine fever & COVID-19 to foreign students enrolled in programs of Industry-Academia Collaboration in Taiwan.

The counseling team of the NIA service center prepared a briefing on the residency rules and introduced matters such as application & extension of the ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate.

The Lunar New Year is arriving, and many foreigners often buy food from their home countries online. There is also a special reminder that do not purchase pork products online as one would face a huge fine if the parcel is found containing the African swine fever virus.

NIA also encourages students to get fully vaccinated, so that they can pursue their studies with peace of mind.

The Director of Hsinchu County Service Center, Huang Qing Qin (黃清欽), reminds everyone that do not purchase meat products such as ham and meatballs of unknown origins online to prevent invasion of African swine fever.

Lastly, the public is also reminded to get vaccinated as soon as possible, avoid crowds, wear masks, and maintain social distancing to protect themselves and others.
