To support up-and-coming film directors, the Venice Film Festival created the "Lion of the Future" prize. Lee, the first Taiwanese director to receive this honor, noted in his acceptance speech that other Aisan cinema luminaries had already graced this platform. These individuals not only had a significant impact on him, but they also served as his role models. He also expressed gratitude to his family, the crew members, and the partners in the filming for their assistance along the process. In the future, he'll keep up his hard work and keep filming.

For the film "Thanatos, Drunk," Lee Hong-Chi won the 52nd Golden Horse Award for Best New Actor as well as the Taipei Film Award for Best Actor.
