Foreign workers have been helping a lot filling in Taiwan’s lack of labour force. Over these years, they are the backbone of Taiwan’s economy. The number of the foreign worker in Taichung is 110 thousand following by Taoyuan. In order to praise those hardworking workers, private employment agencies, employers and non-government institutions are welcomed to recommend any hardworking foreign worker for the “Taichung City Foreign Workers Roll Model award” selection. The application starts from now until Jan 15th 2020.
Wu Wei Zhi, commissioner of the Labour Affair Bureau Taichung City Government, said the foreign worker come all the way to Taiwan and has contributed a lot to our industry and society. They should be praised by the public so as to let more people know how hardworking they are. The recommendation procedure will also help building the relationship between the labour and the employer.
Further information is stated by Labour Affair Bureau Taichung City Government. As long as the foreign worker has been working in Taichung for over a year until Nov 30th and will be continuing working till May 31st 2020, it doesn’t have to be working for the same employer, they can all apply for the Roll Model Selection Award. After being selected, the winner can be awarded 6,000 NT dollars coupon or prize and a certificate. The presentation ceremony will be held before May 31st 2020.
