139 Taiwanese eateries received Bib Gourmand awards for the year 2023, according to Michelin Taiwan. Among the cities with restaurants, Taipei has 45, Taichung 31, Tainan 36, and Kaohsiung 27. Tainan, with a total of 10 new award winners, has the highest number of new honorees among the list's 26 first-time winners.

The most unique feature of the Bib Gourmand awards this year is that two western-style dessert stores, one in Taichung and one in Taipei, were selected for the first time. In addition, a vegetarian restaurant received the award for the first time.

In this year's "Taiwan Michelin Guide" Bib Gourmand awards, a total of 139 restaurants were chosen, covering more than 20 types of cuisine. According to "Michelin Guides" International Director Gwendal Poullennec, this award not only demonstrates the diversity and maturity of the location, but also its capacity for innovation and tradition. Taiwanese snacks and numerous traditional meals also garner praise from the judges. They invite foreign foodies to visit Taiwan while they are there for the evaluation in order to experience additional culinary surprises.
