The largest international travel exhibition in Southeast Asia - Taipei International Travel Fair rounded off

According to 4wayvoice, ITF - Taipei International Travel Fair entered its 35 years. The opening ceremony was attended by President Tsai Ing-wen and unveiled at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.

This year, more than 30 government agencies, 40 countries & regions, 30 central ministries and local governments, together with many industry players participated in the exhibition. The grand event attracted a large number of visitors as there are booths promoting Southeast Asian dishes in Taiwan.

Lin, Hsin-Jen (林信任), the deputy director of the Tourism Bureau, MOTC, said that he is very pleased to see that the ITF has gradually developed into the largest international travel exhibition in Southeast Asia. Tourism bureaus of various countries, such as the Japan Tourism Promotion Association, Korea Tourism Organization, Malaysia Tourism Bureau, and Thailand Tourism Bureau, have expanded the scale of their participation and conveyed a strong exotic atmosphere.

Before the pandemic outbreak, Taiwanese loves to travel to Thailand for vacation. The Tourism Bureau of Thailand thus presented the theme of "Amazing Thailand-Beyond Your Imagination" for its booth.

Besides, to thank Taiwanese tourists for not forgetting Thailand because of the pandemic, Thai travel bags were specially prepared as bonus gifts for visitors. Consumers can also participate in lucky draws and gain the opportunity to win meal vouchers for Thai restaurants in Taiwan.

The industry players participating in the exhibition said that the occupancy rate has gradually recovered for domestic tourism, and the outlook for international tourism is also optimistic. Travel agencies believe that with the steady increase in the world vaccination rate, countries are expected to slowly resume cross-border flights. Therefore, many well-known domestic tourism agencies are making preparations for international tourism travel packs and independent tours before the border reopens.
