A group of instructors and students from National Chengchi University (NCCU) published the book "Settling Down in a Strange Land" (異地安身) after doing fieldwork. Readers may gain a diverse understanding of migrant workes and multiculturalism via five fieldwork accounts.

The five fieldworks' writers are all NCCU Ethnology Professor Kao Ya-ning's (高雅寧)
students, according to her statement. They gained knowledge about mainland Chinese immigrants who married to Taiwan, Vietnamese Hakkas, transnational students in Vietnam, Vietnamese immigrants' religious practices, and the Chinese community in northern Thailand. Not only were the interviewees' personal experiences documented during the process, but reflection notes were also recorded. These reflection notes were eventually compiled in the book "Settling Down in a Strange Land."
The book will be published on August 26 at Brilliant Time Bookstore and on September 17 in Taipei at Fembook. Readers who are interested are invited to attend and talk with the writers.
