Taiwan No.1! The Tokyo Olympics is over and team Chinese Taipei won a total of "2 gold, 4 silver, 6 bronze" medals

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics ended on August 8. The Taiwanese delegation "Chinese Taipei" (中華隊) won 12 medals in this Olympics, which is the best record for the Taiwan team since its establishment. It won 68 events in 18 sports categories which is the most in Taiwan’s history. The final medals won was 2 golds, 4 silvers and 6 bronzes, the best performance ever.

Taiwan's "weightlifting goddess" Kuo Hsing-chun (郭婞淳) won the women's 59kg gold medal in weightlifting, setting a new Olympic record in Taiwan’s history. In the badminton event, the men's doubles "Lin Yang team" of Wang Chi-lin (王齊麟) and Li Yang (李洋) defeated the Chinese team in 2 straight sets in the gold medal match and won the first gold in the men's doubles badminton.

"Judo God" Yang Yung-wei (楊勇緯) lost to a Japanese judoka in the men's 60kg class and won the silver medal. "Men's Archery Team" Wei Chun-hang (魏均珩), Tang Chi-chun (湯智鈞), and Teng Yu-cheng (鄧宇成), although they lost to their Korean opponents in the final match, they still tied the best record in team history in 17 years and won the silver medal. "Prince Pommel Horse" Li Chi-kai (李智凱) won the silver medal in the men's gymnastics pommel horse event with "Thomas Maneuver". "Taiwan Queen" Tai Chi-ying (戴資穎) also won the silver medal in the women's singles; the men's archery team did their best and won the silver medal.

In addition, "Taekwondo Girl" Luo Chia-ling (羅嘉翎), "Billiards Rising Stars" Lin Yun-ru (林昀儒) and Cheng Yi-ching's (鄭怡靜) mixed doubles team, "Golfer" Pan Cheng-tsung (潘政琮), "boxer" Huang Hsiao-wen (黃筱雯), "weightlifter" Chen Wen-hui (陳玟卉), and "karate national player" Wen Chi-yun (文姿云) all Won a bronze medal each at the Tokyo Olympics.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics held its closing ceremony on August 8. The Taiwanese delegation "Chinese Taipei" attended and was represented by the track and field team, and the flag was held by the national player Chen Chie (陳傑), who has participated in three consecutive Olympics. The 2024 Olympics will be hosted by Paris. After the handover is completed, the Paris City Government will display the flag of the next Olympics at the top of the Eiffel Tower to tell the people of the world to meet each other again in the Paris Olympics.
