The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), together with the Ministry of Culture (MOC) and Hakka Affairs Council (HAC) are co-hosting an international Mandarin, Hokkien and Hakka singing contest, the 2021 Mandarin Singing Competition for Overseas Compatriot School Students and Overseas Compatriot Students Studying in Taiwan.

This is to encourage global overseas compatriot school students and overseas compatriot students in Taiwan to learn about and experience the languages of Taiwan and pop music culture, whilst creating motivation to learn the Chinese language! The winner will receive a prize of NT$100,000 (pre-tax), and the chance to perform at the National Day gala!

Eligible applicants are divided into 2 categories: Overseas Compatriot School Group (海外僑校組) and Overseas Compatriot Students Studying in Taiwan Group (國內僑生組). Those who fall under these groups can download the APP and register for the competition.
