The top fast food chain in the Philippines, Jollibee, took part in the franchising expo as well. The chain franchising environment in Taiwan is quite good, according to Jollibee, which has more than 900 locations worldwide. The government has also started several counseling and subsidy initiatives. Jollibee is quite upbeat. The company's corporate office is also seriously considering building a branch in Taiwan soon to serve the Taiwanese market.

According to estimates, small and medium-sized businesses would be able to request for loans up to NT$ 3 million dollars starting on February 15th, and Department of Economic Development will pay the interest for a period of six months. The maximum application amount for the "Taipei City Youth Entrepreneurship Loan" (北市青年創業貸款) is NT$1.2 million dollars. Loans benefit from a three-month grace period, a simple application process, full interest subsidies, and quick evaluation.
