The presidential and parliamentary elections will both take place on January 13 of the following year. The NIA Chiayi City Service Center and pertinent units jointly held simulate voting and anti-bribery events for new immigrants in order to help them better grasp Taiwan's electoral system and pertinent legislation. In addition to encouraging new immigrants to get involved in civic activities, it also encourages anti-election corruption.

The Chiayi City Election Committee (嘉義市選舉委員會) said that new immigrants who are over 18 and have a Taiwan ID card, and who are interested in working as election staff, can get in touch with the election committee or the office of their place of residence from now until October 31. On election day, don't forget to carry your national ID card, seal, and voting notice. Please be aware that you cannot canvass votes on election day beginning at 0:00 a.m. to avoid being penalized for breaking the rules.

During the election, there can be a lot of fake information. New immigrants are urged to examine information and not make, spread, or trust fake news.
