"Heart of Kapok, Kinmen’s Spirit" - Cui Guifang & Lin Yu-Jiao
Cui Guifang, from mainland China, was captivated by Kinmen’s rich culture and history during a short stay with her husband. Particularly moved by stories surrounding military cultural and creative goods, she envisioned creating a boutique with a battlefield theme to preserve Kinmen’s history and culture. Supported by the Dream Building Project, she and her friend Lin Yu-Jiao co-founded the boutique “Flower of the Battlefield.” They chose the kapok flower as the brand’s symbol to convey a spirit of resilience and positivity.
The shop features camouflage decor and military uniforms, offering local specialty drinks like Red Sorghum Milk Tea and Battle Tea, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that attracts visitors to experience Kinmen’s wartime history and flavors. “Flower of the Battlefield” has become not only a boutique but a unique attraction in Kinmen’s tourism scene.“Flower of the Battlefield” is a cultural and creative boutique that has also become a unique attraction in Kinmen (Image / Courtesy of NIA FB)
"Essential Oil Skincare Development Project" - Siqin Gaowa & Zhou Guixia
Unhappy with the quality of essential oils available, Siqin Gaowa began learning essential oil blending independently. Through her journey, she discovered the beauty and therapeutic benefits of essential oils, such as anti-aging and whitening effects. Encouraged by her mother, Guixia, she decided to turn her passion for essential oils into a business and create her own high-quality essential oil brand.
With support from the Dream Building Project, Gaowa has focused on enhancing product quality and continually engages with industry experts to drive her dream forward with dedication. Her journey reflects her passion and pursuit of professionalism in the essential oil field, with hopes of establishing her brand as a leader in the essential oil industry.Siqin Gaowa (right) and Zhou Guixia (left) Attending an Exchange Banquet (Image / Courtesy of NIA FB)
