As a result of the about 200,000 new immigrants and migrant workers in Taoyuan City, the Taoyuan 1999 Citizen Hotline has declared that it would now offer services in Vietnamese and Indonesian in order to cater to its customers' needs for multilingual service.

According to Taoyuan City, the 1999 Citizen Hotline offers residents solutions to a range of city and everyday life issues. It used to exclusively provide services in Japanese, Mandarin, and English. This will also give new immigrants and migrant workers easy access to information on welfare, education, and jobs in their native tongues. To help new immigrants adjust to life in Taoyuan more quickly, Vietnamese and Indonesian language services are added to solve training and other concerns.

To help new immigrants adjust to life in Taoyuan more quickly, Vietnamese and Indonesian language services are added to solve training and other concerns. In addition, for the first 10 minutes after a call is initiated, whether on a landline or a mobile phone, the service is free.
