Tsai Tsung-hsien (蔡宗憲), chief secretary of Kinmen University, said that a total of 48 students from Malaysia, Indonesia, Argentina and mainland China have received the AZ vaccine. Tien, a student from the Chinese Department, said that he had to stay in Kinmen to deal with affairs this summer, and was unable to return home to contribute to the fight against the epidemic. Wu, a student from the Institute of Business Management said that he was vaccinated under the advice of his teacher for protection.

Kinmen University stated that during the summer, the school will provide free accommodation to encourage students to reduce the risk of moving around. The Kinmen County government (金門縣政府) opened the vaccination program to county citizens over 18 years old, and the target was extended to overseas students studying in Kinmen.
