Beware! Scammers are posing as “Black Cat Delivery” to commit fraud.

Recently, many people have reported that scammers are pretending to be "Black Cat Delivery" customer service agents to carry out fraud schemes. They mainly target sellers on major auction platforms and Facebook, posing as buyers to inquire about products. The scammers then use reasons such as “payment frozen” or “failed purchase” to ask sellers to contact customer service, sending fake customer service contact information, which has misled many people into believing they encountered real issues and falling for the scam. "Black Cat Delivery" has never asked customers to verify payments. If you receive such requests, please stay vigilant and avoid falling victim.

Pedestrian Priority Zones to Launch in October! Violators face fines up to NT$36,000

The amended "Pedestrian Traffic Safety Facility Regulations" officially took effect on October 1. To enhance pedestrian safety, the Ministry of Transportation announced partial amendments to the "Road Traffic Safety Rules," adding new regulations for pedestrian priority zones. The revised rules state that vehicles driving in pedestrian priority zones must not exceed 20 km/h and are prohibited from honking to drive away pedestrians. Violators can be fined between NT$300 and NT$600, while severe speeding within these zones can result in fines up to NT$36,000.

Double Protection! COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines Now Administered Together

The CDC announced that the 2024 COVID-19 and flu vaccines will be administered in phases starting October 1. Phase 1 targets 11 groups including seniors over 65, preschool children, and healthcare workers, beginning on October 1. Phase 2, starting from November 1, expands the eligibility for COVID-19 vaccination to those over 6 months old not included in Phase 1, while adults aged 50-64 without high-risk chronic diseases can receive the flu vaccine. The CDC encourages eligible individuals to make appointments as soon as possible and take both vaccines to achieve double protection.
