Due to Hualien City's constrained parking options and congested streets, the Hualien County Government worked with the passenger transportation operator to launch the Huilan Food Special Bus (洄瀾美食專車) on every Saturday and Sunday from July 1st to August 20th. Visitors can obtain free rides on the special bus, and after getting off at each stop, they may walk for 5 to 10 minutes to get to renowned fine dining restaurants nearby.

The Hualien Economic Affairs Department explains that the starting and ending stations of the Huilan Food Special Bus are set at Hualien Bus Station, so that tourists can taste the food in downtown Hualien in a more convenient way. This is done for the convenience of tourists arriving in Hualien by train or passenger transport.

Additionally, each stop sign on the Huilan Food Special Bus includes a QR code that visitors may scan to learn more about the lodging options and fine dining restaurants nearby. Visit the Hualien Transportation e-Point website for further information.
